Cuban identical twins Margarita and
Ramona de Saa grew up to become acclaimed ballerinas with
the National Ballet of Cuba. Once inseparable, their relationship
disintegrated as one sister left for the United States while
the other embraced the Cuban Revolution. This film is the
story of these two women, forever linked by birth and dance,
but struggling to overcome a deep rift between them and nations
alike. Shot in the USA and Cuba over a period of four years,
Mirror Dance reveals some of the complexities of the sisters'
relationship.. the worlds, in which they live, the choices
each has made and the conflicts each has endured...as they
hope that one day they will reconcile.
